According to attacks, Israel wants to prevent Iran from building an atomic bomb. Foreign Minister Saar sees a lot. Iran should not become a second North Korea.
Israel estimates that his attacks in Iran have delayed the development of an atomic bomb by the Islamic Republic for years. “According to the assessments we hear, I think we have the opportunity for you to get an atomic bomb delayed by at least two or three years,” said Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar in a “picture” interview. “The fact that we have turned off those people who led and promoted the armament of the nuclear program is extremely important with regard to the results,” added the foreign minister.
“So we have already achieved a lot. But we will do whatever we can. We won’t stop until we have done everything possible to eliminate this threat,” said Saar. In another interview with the Japanese television station NHK, he said: “We will not allow Iran like North Korea. Iran tried to take North Korea because he believes that the security of his regime is guaranteed by nuclear weapons. But we will not allow this in Iran”.
When asked by NHK whether Israel was willing to accept a diplomatic solution in conflict with Iran, Saar said: “Personally, I don’t think Iran strives for a (diplomatic) solution. Iran tries to deceive the international community”. The leadership in Tehran claims that she was not ready for negotiations while the attacks lasted. But there was also no progress in negotiations before the attacks.
