In Istanbul, Foreign Minister Islamic States want to advise Iran on the attacks of Israel. Iran’s chief diplomat Araghtschi also takes part.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghtschi arrived in Istanbul to take part in a meeting of the Foreign Minister Council of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The web portal “Iran Nuances” close to the Iranian government showed pictures of his arrival in the Turkish metropolis.

At the suggestion of Iran, the focus would be on the Israeli attacks on Iran, said Araghtschi. He would also have talks with official representatives on the edge of the summit, he said, according to the portal, without giving any more details.

According to the Turkish news agency Anadolu, hundreds of participants are expected for the two -day summit. Among them are 43 ministers and also some deputy ministers. Among the participants are also high -ranking representatives of international organizations, such as the United Nations or the Arab league.

On Friday, Araghtschi had already explored opportunities for diplomatic solutions in Geneva with his European counterpart Johann Wadephul (Germany), Jean-Noël Barrot (France) and David Lammy (Great Britain). The EU foreign commissioner Kaja Kallas also took part in the talks. Afterwards they announced that they wanted to continue the negotiations.
