The United States is in the war in Iran. Tarnkappen bombers throw bombs on the ground lying deep in the earth. Was Trump even ordered that without the congress?
After days of speculation, the United States intervened in the war between Iran and Israel. President Donald Trump said on Saturday evening in a television speech to the nation that the US air strikes had completely destroyed the three most important nuclear facilities. He also threatened Tehran with further attacks. The most important questions about the attack:
What goals have the United States attacked?
According to Trump’s words, the US air weapon attacked the three most important Iranian nuclear facilities for Fordo, Natans and Isfahan. He called the attacks “very successful”. The most important nuclear enrichment systems of Iran “were completely and totally destroyed”.
Which weapons were used?
Trump did not comment on this. However, he wrote in his online service Truth Social that the Fordo facility was hit with a “full bomb load”. This indicates that the United States has used its bunkerbreaking bomb GBU-57. According to the US Army, it can penetrate up to 61 meters deep into rocks and concrete. Unlike Natan’s facilities and Isfahan, the Fordo facility is very deep in the earth and thus out of reach of Israeli bombs.
Which fighter planes have used the USA?
US combat jets of type B-2 are the only ones who can throw the GBU-57 bomb, they can transport two of the bunker-breaking bombs. Before the attacks on Iran, US media and flight prosecution services reported that several B-2 bombers had left a base in the US state of Missouri in the center of the United States. Because of their large reach, they are able to fly to the Middle East.
What’s next?
Trump threatened Iran with air strikes on other destinations if the country should not make peace. “There will be either peace or a tragedy for Iran, which is far greater than what we have experienced in the past eight days,” said Trump in his television address. A press conference with US Defense Minister Pete Hegseth and chief of staff Dan Caine is scheduled for Sunday (2 p.m. CEST).
To what extent was the use of Israel coordinated?
Trump said he decided “in a team” with the Israeli head of government Benjamin Netanyahu. “We worked as a team that a team has never done before, and we have contributed a lot to eliminate this terrible threat to Israel,” emphasized Trump. Netanyahu, for his part, spoke of a “perfect coordination” of the United States to Israel.
What are the reactions in the USA?
Sharp criticism came from the Democrats. Her minority leader in the House of Representatives, Hakeem Jeffries, explained that Trump risked the involvement of America “into a potentially disaster war in the Middle East”. He also failed to obtain the permission of the congress for the use. The New York MP Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also called Trump’s decision “catastrophic” and a “serious violation of the constitution”.
How does the Trump camp react?
At first much more careful. MEP MEP Marjorie Taylor Greene from the right outer warehouse of the Republicans, for example, wrote in online service X that she is now praying for the security of the US soldiers and citizens in the Middle East and she hopes that the United States will not be attacked by “terrorists”. Before the attack, she had accused Israel of starting the war against Iran and explained: “This is not our struggle.”

Could Trump order the attack without the congress?
According to the US constitution (Article one, paragraph eight), the congress is responsible for declaring a war. As commander -in -chief, however, the president can order short -term and limited operations even without the consent of the congress. Trump justified his actions in the television speech with the “nuclear threat from the world’s leading state supporter of terror”, that is, Iran.
