Israel’s president: do not demand that the USA will go to war
The USA attacked Iran. But what does it follow now? Israel’s President Herzog emphasizes that the decision about the USA is not with his country.
According to President Izchak Herzog, Israel does not go into a war. His country would have made it clear that US President Donald Trump left the decisions, said Herzog in the US broadcaster CNN. After all, America’s national security interests were concerned.
With a view to the further development of the war, he added: “We do not have the intention and we do not demand that America are now going to war because the Iranians threaten Israel.” The decision about the United States intervention was made because the Iranian nuclear program had presented a threat to the security interests “of the entire free world”. The United States was actually endangered by the nuclear program as the leader of this world – “That’s why it was the right step to do this”.
Now the moment is to think about diplomacy – however, it must be effective, emphasized Herzog. So far, diplomacy has failed because the Iranians have always lied.
