A Russian ballistic rocket strikes a school building in south of Ukraine. President Selenskyj reacts promptly and with clear words.
As a result of a Russian rocket attack, at least two people were killed in South Ukraine. At Telegram, President Wolodymyr Selenskyj described the blow against a high school in the city of Bilhorod-Diskskyj in the Odessa area as “absolutely insane”. The attack was carried out with a ballistic rocket. Because of the school holidays, there were no children in the building. According to the authorities, about a dozen people were violated.
From abroad, Selenskyj called for the pressure to increase Russia and impose stronger sanctions. “If it is not possible to force Russia to peace, you have to think about the protection of high schools, hospitals and ordinary houses in other European countries,” he warned.
Ukraine has defended itself against a Russian invasion with western support for more than three years.
