Trump: Waffle rest between Israel and Iran shortly
In a few hours, the weapons are to be silent during the war between Israel and Iran. According to US President Trump, the war should even be over.
According to US President Donald Trump, a “complete and absolute” ceasefire will come into force between Israel and Iran. So that the war, which has been going on for twelve days, should be ended, Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
The ceasefire should come into force in about six hours as soon as both sides ended, Trump wrote at around 6:00 p.m. (local time Washington; midnight CEST). The process initially described by Trump does not seem to rely on a ceasefire that comes into force at the same time. First of all, Iran will adhere to an ceasefire for twelve hours, then also Israel for twelve hours. After these 24 hours the war, the war was considered ending, Trump continued. That would be Wednesday morning (MESZ).
Assuming that the process will work in this way, he already wants to congratulate Israel and Iran that they had the courage and wisdom to end the war. In the future, this will be known as the “twelve -day war”, Trump continued. “This is a war that could have continued for years, and which could have destroyed the whole Middle East, but it didn’t happen that way – and it won’t come,” Trump continued.
Israel had started his war ten days ago with massive attacks on Iran. At the weekend, the USA also bombed three Iranian nuclear facilities. On Monday, the Iran carried out a limited retaliation against a US air base in Qatar, in which no one was harmed. According to Trump, the Iranians had warned the United States about the attack.
