Media: VfB calls up 100 million euros for Woltemade
For Nick Woltemade, the most important game of his career is coming up tonight. The Stuttgart striker also makes headlines away from the lawn: Bayern want him.
Football Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart apparently demands a transfer fee of 100 million euros for Nick Woltemade after the media had speculated this week about the striker’s agreement with the record champions FC Bayern Munich. According to information from the “kicker”, those responsible for the Swabians are only ready to “sit down at the negotiating table at all”. The “Stuttgarter Zeitung” and the “Stuttgarter Nachrichten” also report on the three -digit million amount.
Supposedly far apart
Shortly before the final of the U21 national team this evening (9:00 p.m./SAT.1) in Bratislava against England, media had reported that Bayern should be very interested in the striker. Accordingly, Woltemade can also imagine a change after a strong season. However, the Munichers are said to have calculated with a transfer fee of only 50 million euros.
The almost two meter tall attacker only said before the European Championship final to the transfer rumors: “There are always things that are around you, that affects not only me, but also other players.”
Woltemade had come to VfB in the last summer transfer phase from Werder Bremen. The 23-year-old was initially not appointed to the Champions League squad, but then turned up and came to 17 goals and three templates in 33 competitive games. In Stuttgart, he is under contract with no exit clause until June 2028. He was recently used in the A-national team.
