After Portugal’s football star Diogo Jota and his brother, the German national football team expressed their deep sympathy. “We experienced with great dismay from the death of Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva. Our thoughts are with his family, his relatives, FC Liverpool and the Portuguese Football Association,” said the DFB team’s account with X.
The post was supplemented with the Portuguese words “Os Nossos Sentimentos” (our sympathy), a white pigeon and a black heart. The German Football League (DFL) was also shaken in a contribution on Instagram and expressed their condolences to the relatives. Liverpool professional Diogo Jota (28) and his brother André Silva (25) died in a car accident in Spain early Thursday morning.
Diogo Jota won the Nations League with Portugal’s national team in Munich in June. He also played for his home country in the 2-1 in the semi -finals against Germany. At FC Liverpool, he won the English trophy under the German coach Jürgen Klopp 2022. This year he won the English championship title with the Reds. Diogo Jota leaves his wife Rod Cardoso, whom he had only married a few days ago, and three children.
