Formula 1 in the cinema
Continued for “F1” film? That says Lewis Hamilton
The Formula 1 film with Brad Pitt attracts millions in cinemas. A sequel is already speculated. Co -producer Lewis Hamilton brakes.
Despite Brad Pitt’s Formula 1 film’s successful cinema, co-producer Lewis Hamilton currently sees no reason for a sequel. “I wouldn’t rush anything. That would be the worst that we can do. Most sequels are much worse than the original anyway,” said the 40-year-old record world champion before his Formula 1 home game in the British Silverstone.
Hamilton had also participated in the racing driver “F1” as a consultant for leading actors Pitt, gave information for the script and belonged to the group of producers. After the start last week, the film scored the cinema charts in Germany, among others. “It cost four years of work, now we should let it simmer a little,” said Hamilton.
Pitt (61) plays an aging racing driver in “F1” who gets another chance in Formula 1 after a serious accident as a mentor for a young pilot. Ferrari-Pilot Hamilton suggested that the film crew around Hollywood director Joseph Kosinski (“Top Gun: Maverick”) could work up like a motorsport team, what was going well when shooting and what could be done even better.
Hamilton did not want to confirm whether that would mean that he would have had discussions about a later sequel. “If I had that, I wouldn’t say it,” the Brit commented.
