Record rank of German fans at the European Championship game in Basel
Many German fans flock to Basel before the European Championship game against Denmark. The DFB is happy about a unique encouragement.
The DFB is expecting a record rank of German fans in a women’s international game abroad for the European Championship game against Denmark in Basel. Around 17,000 have tickets for the game this evening at 6 p.m. (ARD and DAZN) in St. Jakob-Park near the border, the German Football Association said.
Almost 5,000 German fans were there at the 2022 European Championship final
The previous record for registered away fans was 4,816 people at the 2022 European Championship final in the Wembley Stadium of London. The second preliminary round game of German women is sold out, the arena in Basel holds 34,250 spectators. Numerous supporters met three hours before the kick -off at the exhibition center. Basel puts the largest stadium in the European Championship, here the final will also take place on July 27th.
The DFB team of national coach Christian Wück had beaten 2-0 at the Tournament kick-off in Poland. The last group opponent is Sweden on Saturday (9:00 p.m./ZDF and DAZN) in Zurich.
