JOTA widow visits Angeldd-Liverpool players mourn with her
A week has already passed since Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva had a death. Jota’s widow now came to Liverpool. The team was by their side.

Media: FC Liverpool supports Jota-widow
After the tragic death of the player, Portuguese media reported that FC Liverpool Diogo Jotas pays a complete salary to his widow. The club now also announced that they never want to award the jersey number 20 in memory of Jota. The Portuguese had worn them until the end.
It was only in May that Diogo Jota won the Premier League with the “Reds”. The following month, he won the Nations League with the Portuguese national team.
Diogo Jota and his brother die in car accident
The 28-year-old football professional Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva, 25, died in a car accident in Spain on July 3, 2025. According to investigations into the accident, Jota sat at the wheel and drove at excessive speed. The Spanish police announced this.
According to media reports, a tire and the sports car, in which the two young men were traveling, burst from the road. Then he went up in flames. Any help came too late for the brothers. Particularly tragic: Jota had just married shortly before and left his wife and three children together.
