Club World Cup
PSG coach Enrique will be palpable after the final whistle of the final
Brand formation and wild wrangling: After the final whistle of the final at the club World Cup, PSG coach Luis Enrique had an examination of Chelsea players.
The final of the club World Cup in the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey delivered memorable scenes after the final whistle that hardly fits the image of a perfect high-gloss tournament.
After the final whistle, the victorious professionals of FC Chelsea celebrated on the lawn, the substitute players in blue winning shirts with the words “World Champions” stormed onto the field. Apparently that was too much for the nerves of the inferior professionals of Paris Saint-Germain. There were wrangling, after all, the Chelsea players started on goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who apparently had a derailment.
Also included: PSG coach Luis Enrique, who grabbed the neck of the battle Joao Predro, as the TV images clearly prove. Pedro then went down. The British newspaper “The Sun” later wrote: “Enrique lost his mind!”
Club World Cup final: a red card for assault
It was the unworthy end of a worthy final. The blues from London, who had reached 4th place in the Premier League in the past season after two weak season, disenchanted the Champions League winner from Paris. Chelsea led 3-0 after the first half. It stayed until the end.
The famous English international Cole Palmer scored the identical goal twice with his left foot. He overcame the powerless Donnarumma into the far corner with a low shot. Newcomer Pedro (43.), who had only joined his new team in the course of the tournament for the quarter -finals, increased with a technically fine lupfer over the keeper after preparatory work by Palmer. Chelsea’s strong goalkeeper Robert Sanchez prevented a possible comeback from the Champions League winner twice with parades against João Neves and striker Ousmane Dembélé.
In the final phase, PSG professional João Neves (86th) saw the red card because of a video review because of an assault. He had pulled Spain’s European champion Marc Cucurella on his hair. After the final whistle, the loser finally burned the fuses.
