Lamine Yamal: Small-fold organization blames the superstar

Lamine Yamal, the new superstar of FC Barcelona, has been trouble with an organization of small people in Spain. The union of people with achondroplasia and other skeletal dysplasia with small growth () accuses the Barca star of having misused small people for entertainment purposes at his birthday party. In a statement, the association wrote that it reserves “legal and social measures” against the football professional.

“This type of practice is unacceptable for ADEE because it maintains stereotypes, stirs up discrimination and undermined the image and rights of people with achondroplasia or other skeletal dysplasia and all people with disabilities,” the organization continued in a statement. “It is unacceptable that in the 21st century people with dwarf growth will continue to be abused for entertainment at private parties, and it is even worse if there are personalities of public life like Lamine Yamal,” the president of the association was quoted.

So far there has been no reaction from the footballer or FC Barcelona.

The celebration that deals with apparently took place last Saturday. The occasion was the 18-year birthday of the new Superstar of the Catalans, who is considered many as a legitimate successor to over player Lionel Messi. The party is said to have taken place in a villa near Barcelonas with around 200 guests. Team colleagues, family and friends enjoyed themselves with cold drinks and live acts, as a clip shows that was posted on X.

In the short video you can see how a small singer with Yamal and other professionals from FC Barcelona (presumably one of them is gavi) is on stage and performs a song. The mood seems to be good and relaxed for everyone present. More pictures on social media show how small-scale (suspected artists) arrive and depart with suitcases.
