Probably the oldest marathon runner in the world dies at the age of 114 – in the event of a traffic accident

Singh suffered a “serious head injury” in a traffic accident, reported the Indian broadcaster NDTV. He was taken to a hospital. He died on Monday evening (local time). He became 114 years old after reports of Indian media.
India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Singh as an “exceptional athlete with incredible determination”. He inspired India’s youth “with the very important topic of fitness”. His death hurts him, according to modes.
Fauja Singh: striking runner with turban
Singh caused a sensation at the age of 89 when he started marathon training. With his turban and long beard, he was an always welcome and conspicuous participant at global running events.
In the Canadian city of Toronto, he ran the marathon route over 42.195 kilometers in the period of 8 hours and eleven minutes at the age of 100. He was the oldest marathon runner in history. However, the Guinness book does not recognize its record because he could not show a birth certificate, but only a passport.
Singh was born on April 1, 1911 in the Indian state of Punjab on the current border with Pakistan. He grew up there as a peasant son. When he was 84 years old and his eldest son died in an accident, he moved to England and started walking. He visited his village regularly.
Last race at 101 years
Under the cheers of thousands, he wore the then Olympic fire as one of the torch runners a piece through London.
For the last time, Singh ran the 42.195 kilometer long marathon route in Hong Kong. At that time he was already 101 years old.
