Lamine Yamal comments on the scandal party for the first time
Lamine Yamal from FC Barcelona is said to have booked small artists for his 18th birthday. For this he was heavily criticized. What does he say to all of this?
Lamine Yamal steps in big footsteps at the Spanish champion FC Barcelona. The club recently announced that the young star has extended his contract until 2031 and will have to carry number 10 from now on – as Lionel Messi once.
In the days before the contract extension, Yamal still attracted a lot of attention. But not for sporting reasons, but because of a party for his 18th birthday.
The young star apparently hired small artists for this. He published a video on Instagram himself that shows him and the Dominican rapper Chimbala (approximately 1.50 meters tall) together on a stage.
Then criticism was hailing. Yamal and FC Barcelona had not commented on the matter at first – until now.
This is what Lamine Yamal says about the allegations
At a press conference, Yamal first commented on the party and the associated allegations. “Ultimately, I work for Barça, I play for Barça,” said the Spanish international. Apart from sport, he only enjoys his life, “that’s all”, the 18-year-old assured.
The short statement remained for the time being. At FC Barcelona, the striker is the contract with the striker at FC Barcelona. So far, the association has not announced any consequences for Yamal. However, the “Bild” newspaper wants to have learned that Barca thinks about him. She quotes the well -known journalist Pipi Estradas: “Barça doesn’t like it, you are very concerned with Barça.”
Small artists defend Barça star
An association for people with small growth (ADEE) had accused Yamal discrimination and threatened legal steps. Spain’s government also intervened: According to media reports, the Ministry of Social Rights in Madrid asked the public prosecutor to investigate the case. Because the Spanish law prohibits the degradation of people with small growth and other physical peculiarities or disabilities.
But in addition to criticism, Yamal also received a lot of support. Several artists and journalists hit the player’s side. One of the artists commented in an interview with the radio station RAC1: “Nobody treated us (at the party) disrespectfully, we should simply let us work in peace,” said the man who wanted to remain anonymous. “I don’t understand what is so special about it. We are normal people who do what we want in a completely legal way.”
