Ferred moment for ex-uefa boss Michel Platini: in his house in southern France, he surprises a burglar-but he got away with prey.

Burglars have captured medals and trophies of the former player and football official with Michel Platini. The public prosecutor said in Michel Platini’s house because of severe burglary, the public prosecutor said in Marseille in southern French.



Michel Platini chased burglars

The 70-year-old was woken up by noises outside of his house. He surprised a masked and black dressed person in front of his bay window. After going to flee, he found that about 20 medals and trophies from a garden hut had disappeared in which he kept some of his prizes, the public prosecutor said.

The investigation continues to arrest the perpetrator and determine the exact number and type of stolen goods. The ex-Uefa president’s lawyer could initially say nothing about the slump on request. Platini was unharmed when he encountered the burglar in his house in the coastal town of Cassis after French media reports.


“Platoche”, as his compatriots call Platini, moved the French national team’s jersey 72 times in his career and led “Les Bleus” twice to a semi -finals of a soccer world championship. 1984 became European champion with France. From 1983 to 1985 he won the balloon d’Or three times in a row for the world’s best footballer. He later trained the French national team and was UEFA President from 2007 to 2015.
