Hermann Tilke was born in 1954 and became the main modern circuit designer for Formula 1. His training in civil engineering and his experience as a pilot allowed him to develop a unique race in the design of autodromes. In 2004, Tilke designed two emblematic circuits: the Bahrain International Circuit and the Shanghai International Circuit. Both paths are characterized by their long technical and straight curves that challenge not only the pilots but also their cars.

Tilke’s work also included urban circuits of the F1. The Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore, inaugurated in 2008, was the first street street circuit in the category. This layout combined the characteristics of an urban circuit with the demands of a night race. In 2012, Tilke designed the Americas circuit in the United States, which recovered the spirit of classic circuits. This layout incorporated natural and curves inspired by historical clues.

The remodeling of the Gálvez autodrome that would bring to the Moto GP and Formula 1

The Oscar and Juan Gálvez autodrome remodeling project includes large modifications in the layout. The new circuit will have an extension of 4,340 meters with an average width of 14 meters. The design of the new layout seeks to obtain the necessary approval to house international competitions. The estimated average speed for the circuit will be 177 km/h, with an approximate time of 87 seconds. The works will include the remodeling of the boxes and the Construction of a new paddock with a view of almost 360 degrees of the circuit.

The project includes two main phases. The first phase seeks to obtain FIM approval to receive MotoGP. The second phase aims to get the homologation Fia grade 1necessary for the return of Formula 1. The presentation of the project did not include detailed plans, since this information corresponds to the company Dorna, owner of the rights of the MotoGP.
