“The feeling isn’t better or worse than last week,” said LASK trainer Andreas Wieland after the 3-0 win at Admira. Despite the victory, however, the chance of moving into the Bundesliga championship group was reduced: Competitors SV Guntamatic Ried (3-2 against Tirol) and Austria Wien (2-0 against Hartberg) also won.
There are only two games left to close the three-point deficit to the top six. In addition, there is no getting past if there is a tie with Austria because of the lost direct duel (0: 2, 3: 2). It ended in a draw against Ried (0:1, 1:0), in goal difference LASK is currently ten goals ahead. The athletes would also have to overtake the current Seventh Rapid.
