European champion England collects five million euros
England can reach deep into the premium pot after the European Championship Triumph. The German Football Association is the semi-finalist with 2.7 million euros from the tournament.
Due to the final triumph at the European Championship, England’s footballers gave their association an additional bonus of 1.75 million euros. The Spaniards inferior to the penalty in Basel received 850,000 euros. In total, England received five million euros at the tournament in Switzerland. Spain comes to 4.2 million euros.
The European Football Union UEFA had a total of 41 million euros for the European Championship and thus more than twice as much as in 2022 in England, at that time the participating national associations received a total of 16 million euros. The players receive a guaranteed share of the prize money paid.
65,000 euros for each German player
All teams guaranteed a starting bonus of 1.8 million euros each. The German Football Association receives 2.7 million euros after two preliminary round victories and the semi-final participation of the team of national coach Christian Wück. Before the tournament, the players had been negotiated that they each received 65,000 euros for a semi-final catch. With an EM triumph, 120,000 euros would have been due.
