Laura Dahlmeier-the biathlon star who prefers to go to the mountains
Laura Dahlmeier won everything in the biathlon. But she didn’t want to be a star, got out and devoted herself to mountaineering. It has now been seriously an accident.
Former German biathlete Laura Dahlmeier was seriously accidental when it comes to mountaineering in the Karakorum Mountains in Pakistan. The 31-year-old was at least seriously injured by a rockfall on Laila Peak, as her management announced
No rescue workers could yet advance to the mountain athlete because the great risk of stone stone in the area continues. Only a helicopter had scanned the scene of the accident that was difficult to access – there were no signs of life from the best biathlete in the world.
The concern for the exceptional athlete is great. In the biathlon, she had won numerous World Cup titles and two Olympic gold medals before her early career end. After saying goodbye to biathlon, she devoted herself to her great passion, climbing mountain.
