Left-back Omar Richards has revealed that he initially couldn’t believe Bayern Munich’s interest in him last summer.

Only a video call with Bayern’s sports director Hasan Salihamidzic and chief scout Marco Neppe wiped Richards’ doubts away.
And yet the move from Reading FC from the second English division to one of Europe’s top clubs is still a bit surreal for Richards. “I played with Lewandowski at FIFA and now I play in a team with him. It’s crazy.”
Richards has made 14 appearances in Bayern dress so far this season. The 24-year-old has signed a contract in Munich until 2025.
