Fans give LASK tailwind against Salzburg

After the protected advance sale, there are only remaining tickets from Thursday: With the tailwind from the fans, LASK wants to bring Salzburg to its knees on Sunday in the Raiffeisen Arena – so that the chance of the championship group of the Bundesliga lives on.

Peter Michorl is particularly excited about the game: In the 3-0 win against Admira he had to watch his colleagues for the second time in the last three rounds. After the exclusion against SV Guntamatic Ried (1-0) in the penultimate game of the autumn, he also saw yellow/red at the start of spring against Klagenfurt (2-2). He took the blame for the loss of points against the promoted team. There are points that LASK is now missing. “Every factual criticism is justified. It was insane stupidity on my part that shouldn’t happen to me like this,” said the 26-year-old on Sky about the exclusion.

Not only Michorl will be there again – the fans will also return to the standing room after the sector against Klagenfurt was still closed. Yesterday, the LASK announced how the opening will work in accordance with the new Corona regulation: While the gastronomy in the seating area can be opened at the start of the game, there will be no food in the standing area. The two areas must be separated from each other.

Juniors are applying for admission

While LASK was given overtime in the Raiffeisen Arena by the Pasching municipal council last week until they move to their new home on the Gugl in spring, second division club FC Juniors OÖ can only play there until summer. Yesterday, the club made it clear that they would not voluntarily give up their place in the second division: Paschinger will apply for admission for the coming season.

Should the league succeed, FC Juniors Upper Austria will then play on the association’s facility. LASK is the host there. The athletes made the pitch suitable for the second division so that Blau-Weiss Linz could be evacuated during the construction work on the Gugl. If they don’t stay up in the league, FC Juniors Oberösterreich can continue to play in the Waldstadion. The lease agreement with the municipality of Pasching stipulates that no more professional games may take place in the Waldstadion from summer 2022 – with the exception of the extension for the LASK. As a regional league club, FC Juniors OÖ would again be an amateur club.
