Laura Dahlmeier: Mother posts emotional piece of jewelry

The mother of ex-biathlete Laura Dahlmeier, who had an ancient mountaineering, has posted a piece of jewelry, which many followers understand as an emotional memory of her daughter. The Instagram account of the trained goldsmith Susi Dahlmeier shows a chain pendant with stylized mountains, a bridge of which leads to a star with a heart, there is a curved “L”. The photo is titled as a “bridge into paradise”. Several media had reported on the post.

Many users reacted very emotionally to the piece of jewelry. “With your love and basic trust, she has grown and strengthened her own way over the bridge to her star,” writes a followers that are apparently known to the family. “Laura has definitely come across the bridge to paradise & now watches over you as a guardian angel,” commented another.

The 31-year-old Dahlmeier died in mountaineering in Pakistan at the end of July. The two-time biathlon Olympic champion and seven-time world champion was on the road with her rope partner at Laila Peak when she was hit by rockfall at a height of 5700 meters. Her mother Susi Dahlmeier runs a jewelry workshop in the Upper Bavarian Krün near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where Laura Dahlmeier was at home.
