MMA star Magomed Ismailov (Bald Predator) and Nigerian boxer Olanrewaju Durodola, three days left before the fight in the REN TV Fight Club tournament, shared with Izvestia their feelings after training.
“It was done in a sparing mode. This is a warm-up before a tough workout, ”Ismailov said. In the upcoming fight, in order to win, the Bald Predator will have to make super efforts, since Durodola is an experienced boxer.
“This is boxing, it has to be aggressive. I am aggressive,” the African emphasized.
Ismailov approached the fight fully armed: he took part in the training camp in Thailand with UFC stars. In Russia, he worked with one of the best mentors in the country – athlete Kostya Tszyu.
Another participant in the tournament, Mark Petrovsky, is also inspired by his mentor. In the ring in the co-main fight, he will meet with an experienced professional Collins Oyal. The Olympic boxing champion, world champion among amateurs and professionals Alexander Povetkin came to support the young athlete.

Earlier, on February 22, Ismailov expressed disagreement with the opinion of experts that he would not have a chance to win in a duel with Durodola due to his lack of boxing experience. The athlete said that he had been boxing all his life, “even if not in a professional ring.”
On February 19, Olympic champion, boxer Alexei Tishchenko said that Ismailov’s strength lies in his endurance. At the same time, according to him, Durodola still has more chances to win.
On the same day, boxer Edgar Ghukasyan said that he believes in Ismailov’s victory in the duel with Durodola, but also noted that the Nigerian boxer has experience – he has been in the ring for more than 20 years.
The fight between Ismailov and Durodola will be the main fight of the REN TV tournament. In addition, within the framework of the show, the duel of the fighter Maxim Shcherbakov with his former coach Albert Karmazyan will take place.
