15 people from the team and support team have tested positive for Corona at FC Red Bull Salzburg. The football champion announced this on Wednesday.
“At the moment we are still ready to train and play. However, we now have to monitor the further development of the uninfected players very closely in coordination with our medical department and react to them if necessary,” says sports director Christoph Freund.
Today’s training session has been canceled and replaced with a home program. According to the club broadcast, the hygiene measures have been strengthened again. All public events will also be canceled or postponed.
Salzburg is a guest at LASK on Sunday. The second leg in the Champions League round of 16 at FC Bayern (first leg 1-1) is scheduled for March 8th. Thomas Müller tested positive for Munich this week.
