Tournament in four countries
Here you can follow the SEM basketball live on TV

The German team wants to get the gold medal at the SEM basketball. The first opponent is Montenegro. So you can see the opening game of the DBB selection live.

The European Basketball Championship will take place in four countries this year. The tournament is held in Latvia, Finland, Cyprus and Poland. The German team all plays its group games in the Finnish city of Tampere.

At large tournaments, the DBB selection recently made exciting appearances. In 2023 Germany became world champion, last year the team in Paris narrowly missed the Olympic victory and only failed in the final in the United States. A medal should also jump out at the European Championship – preferably even the title.

“I don’t go to the European Championship so as not to get gold. We also know that you cannot win every game, but the big goal is gold. Everyone in the cabin thinks – and so we fly to Tampere,” said Dennis Schröder before departure.

Schröder is the undisputed superstar of the team and alongside Franz Wagner and Tristan da Silva one of three players who earn their money in the NBA. Moritz Wagner and Isaiah Hartenstein, both also active in the North American professional league, are missing due to injury. And national coach Alex Mumbru will also miss the first game for an infection. Mumbru is represented by his assistant Alan Ibrahimagic.
