DFB Cup: FC Bayern scares out of embarrassment

After an astonishingly faulty appearance, FC Bayern only difficult to avert a cup flamage. The German record champion won 3-2 (1-0) at the third division club SV Wehen and thus avoided the first round that the Munich had lasted at TSV Vestenbergsgreuth 31 years ago.

In front of 12,500 fans, Harry Kane scored the winning goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time. However, the second goal was long in coming. First, two SVWW players clarified after a shot by Luis Diaz shortly before the goal line, then Stritel saved against Raphael Guerreiro. The joy of the home side about the unexpected double strike did not seem long-lasting, because a little later, referee Daniel Siebert decided again on a penalty after a penalty area on Kane.
