The German team wants to get gold at Basketball European Championship. After the opening victory, the game against Sweden is pending. So you can see the game of the DBB selection live.

The German national team has succeeded in starting the European Championship. In the opening game against Montenegro, the DBB team won clearly 106: 76. “In the first half it was a bit of arrival, but in the second half we brought our energy and earned in the end,” said Dennis Schröder, the team’s star.

The German team can thus go into the second group game against Sweden with self -confidence. The game takes place in Tampere in Finland. National coach Alex Mumbru will also be there again on the sidelines. He missed the first game because of an infection and was made by his assistant Alan Ibrahimagic represented.

At large tournaments, the DBB selection recently made exciting appearances. In 2023 Germany became world champion, last year the team in Paris narrowly missed the Olympic victory and only failed in the final in the United States. A medal should also jump out at the European Championship – preferably even the title.

“I’m not going to the European Championship so as not to get gold. We also know that you can’t win every game, but the big goal is gold. Everyone in the cabin thinks that way,” Schröder had explained before the tournament.

In addition to Franz Wagner and Tristan da Silva, Schröder is one of three players who earn their money in the NBA. Moritz Wagner and Isaiah Hartenstein, both also active in the North American professional league, are missing due to injury.
