Werth fails on the 10th single gold at dressage-European
Two days after the bronze medal in the special, Isabell Werth attacks again in the freestyle – and gains bronze.
Isabell Werth missed its 10th single gold at the European Dressage Championships. The record rider from Rheinberg came in third place in Crozet in French with her mare Wendy in the freestyle.
The most successful rider in the world collected a total of three medals at the European Championship. After gold with the German team and single bronze in the Grand Prix Special, there was bronze again for the 56-year-old.
The victory went in the freestyle to the Belgian Justin Verbann with Zonik Plus, who had already won the title in the special on Friday. Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour from Denmark me freestyle. Frederic Wandres provided the second best German result with Bluetooth. The 38-year-old became fifth.
