Victor Boniface moves from Leverkusen to Bremen on a loan basis
Transferhammer on the Deadline Day: Werder Bremen lends Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen. The deal has been completed in the last hours of the change window.
Bundesliga club Werder Bremen fetches the attacker Victor Boniface from Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Both clubs agreed on Monday, the Last day of the change period in the Bundesliga, on a rental business until the end of the season.
In Leverkusen, Boniface has strong competitors in Patrik Schick and newcomer Christian Kofane. The Bremen, on the other hand, urgently needed a center forward, so Boniface closes a large gap in the squad.
Transfer from Victor Boniface with risk
From the Bremen’s point of view, however, the transfer carries a risk. Actually, the 24 -year -old Nigerian wanted to switch to the Italian first division club AC Milan, but the change failed because the 1.90 meter tall center forward did not exist.
In 2022, Boniface switched from the Belgian Club Union Saint-Gilloise to the Leverkuseners. Since then, the attacker has scored 32 goals in 61 games. He also won the German championship and the DFB Cup with Bayer in 2024.
