Conclusion after Deadline Day
This is how the transfer summer for the Bundesliga clubs ran
The Deadline Day is over, the summer transfer window is closed. Which Bundesliga clubs went well for and which ones hoped for more? A conclusion to all clubs.
Bayern Munich: Wish player Florian Wirtz and young international Nick Woltemade also did not get the Munich. As a new offensive ace, after the departures of Thomas Müller, Leroy Sané and Kingsley Coman, Luis Díaz from Liverpool FC. And shortly before the transfer is closed, loan player Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea.
Bayer Leverkusen: The Werkself looks at an XXL break. In addition to star coach Xabi Alonso, the top performers Florian Wirtz, Jonathan Tah, Granit Xhaka, Lukas Hradecky, Jeremie Frimpong and Piero Hincapie have left the club. More than a dozen professionals came. The largest construction site is currently available at the coaching bench after Bayer has already separated from Alonso successor Erik Ten HAG after two Bundesliga games.
Eintracht Frankfurt: In the Frenchman Hugo Ekitiké, Eintracht has again lost a top striker. But this time again the Frankfurters can be trusted that they compensate for the departure – especially since the club for the offensive with Jonathan Burkardt from FSV Mainz 05 and Ritsu Doan from SC Freiburg bought cleverly. The farewell of goalkeeper Kevin Trapp to Paris was compensated for by the commitment of Michael Zetterer.
Who came, who went? The mega deals of the transfer summer
Enzo Millot

Borussia Dortmund: The BVB has strengthened the squad with Jobe Bellingham, Carney Chukwuemeka, Fábio Silva, Aarón Anselmino as well as the fixed obligations by Daniel Svensson and Yan Couto in depth and width. At the same time, the club brought financial means with sales like Jamie Gitten, Soumaïla Coulibaly or Youssoufa Moukoko and dismantled unnecessary loads. Nevertheless, an imbalance remains: seven central defenders and seven central midfielder for three positions are in the squad.
SC Freiburg: Freiburg has never invested more money than this summer in new players: More than 30 million euros flowed into the squad – both to strengthen width and improve the top. The departure of Ritsu Doan to Eintracht Frankfurt hurts sporty, but was planned. New faces came mainly for the offensive – and also with a view to the triple load from the Bundesliga, DFB Cup and Europa League.
FSV Mainz 05: There were no spectacular access in Mainz, during the departure of national striker Burkardt to Eintracht Frankfurt. It is questionable whether Benedict Hollerbach, who came from 1. FC Union Berlin, can close the gap. William Böving from Sturm Graz came on the last trigger.
RB Leipzig: With the top sales of Benjamin Sesko to Manchester United for around 80 million euros and Xavi Simons to Tottenham Hotspur for around 60 million euros, RB has overfilled the self-contained target of 100 million euros. Lois Openda (Juventus Turin) also went. The upheaval is initiated with the other transfers, but some string candidates such as Kevin Kampl, Lukas Klostermann, Timo Werner and Amadou Haidara did not get rid of the Leipziger.
Werder Bremen: Once again it was a turbulent transfer phase on the Weser. All wishes were not fulfilled to the new trainer Horst Steffen. Great bad luck made the club a driven. Because of the dune line -up in the attack, Werder lent Victor Boniface from Leverkusen on the last trigger. For financial reasons, the Bremen generally rental business.
VfB Stuttgart: The Swabians showed strength in the poker around Nick Woltemade and ultimately painted a record amount of up to 90 million euros for the striker. But: You have just lost service providers again. Not only Woltemade is gone, but also Enzo Millot. It will be exciting how these gaps are closed. Among other things, Tiago Tomás and Badredine Bouanani are considered hope for the offensive.
Borussia Mönchengladbach: Borussia has given two key players with defense chief Ko ItaKura and offensive player Alassane Plea as well as the previous captain in Julian Weigl. The Gladbach Shuto Machino, Haris Tabakovic and Giovanni Reyna won for the offensive. It seems at least questionable whether the entrances can catch the departures and compensate for the long -term violation of national striker Tim Kleindienst. Gladbach has not yet scored a goal in two league games.
VfL Wolfsburg: As unspectacular as VfL Wolfsburg has been in the league for several years, the transfer phase at the VW club was also possible. The very big change failed to change. For a long time, striker Mohamed Amoura was associated with Benfica Lisbon, but the Portuguese were not ready to pay the 40 million euros in transfer from VfL. So the new trainer Paul Simonis remains the most important access.
FC Augsburg: The top -class new addition is undoubtedly Sandro Wagner. The previous assistant of national coach Julian Nagelsmann is said to make the FCA more popular and successful as head coach. The well -rehearsed squad was added to the Augsburgers, which was strongly combatally fighting, Frank Onyeka.
1. FC Union Berlin: With Ilyas viewed, Oliver Burke and Derrick Köhn, a lot of pace is added to the Köpenickers. To do this, the Berliners have to compensate for the loss of top attacker Benedict Hollerbach.
FC St. Pauli: At the neighborhood club there was a major upheaval with nine entrances and some exits from top performers such as Johannes Eggestein and Elias Saad. However, the upheaval was hardly noticeable: the integration of the newcomers, which previously founded mostly as real reinforcements, seems to work amazingly quickly given the previous Bundesliga services.
TSG 1899 Hoffenheim: The Kraichgauer lost regular players like Tom Bishop and Anton Stach in their extensive upheaval, but got top talents. Fisnik Asllani, Muhammed Damar, Tim Lemperle and Leon Avdullahu, however, started promising.
1. FC Heidenheim: The almost relegated team of the pre-season relies on continuity instead of large transfers. With the loan of Stammtorhüter Diant Ramaj, it was followed up in a position where you were actually solidly occupied. At the same time, with the departures of Leonardo Scienza, Paul Wanner and Frans, weed are missing important service providers of the pre -season. The club relies on talents from its own youth, while Arijon Ibrahimović could provide new impulses on the offensive.
Bundesliga promoters in transition
1. FC Cologne: After the transfer lock last summer and the ascent, the squad was extensively renewed. With players such as Ragnar Ache, Jakub Kaminski, Marius Bülter, Rav van den Berg and Kristoffer Lund, the team from new trainer Lukas Kwasniok received targeted reinforcements and more variability. At the same time, the FC separated from top of the service providers such as Max Finkgräfe, Tim Lemperle and Damion Downs and leaned the squad with further exits and borrowing.
Hamburger SV: The promoted team missed a basic renewal in summer. The focus was on the defensive. Those responsible for the climb Davie Selke and Ludovit Reis left the club. Goalkeeper Daniel Peretz, Jordan Torunarigha, Giorgi GotscholeiSchwili and Yussuf Poulsen joined the club, among other things. However, many problems revealed the bumpy preparation, the weak appearance in the DFB Cup and the deserved 0: 2 bankruptcy in the derby against St. Pauli. The last trigger was again upgraded: Fabio Vieira and Sambi Lokonga came from Arsenal.
