Harder and Eriksson
Bundesliga couple talks about relationship: “It is normal how we live”
The footballers Magdalena Eriksson and Pernille Harder from FC Bayern are a couple of lovers – and deal with it openly. The players also want to set a signal.
Pernille Harder and Magdalena Eriksson not only play together for FC Bayern in the women’s football Bundesliga, the Danish and the Swede are also a couple of lovers. Surprise and private things still separate them, the players explained in an interview that they gave the “Sport Bild” before the Bundesliga start on Friday.
“When we are in the team, we see each other as teammates and we are a few at home,” said Harder. Eriksson added: “It is not difficult for us to separate this. We are both very focused and ambitious. We want to behave professionally in the job, we then have free time at home.”

Pernille Harder and Magdalena Eriksson show their love public
The lesbian couple deals openly with his relationship. The picture of how they kissed in the field in the 2019 World Cup became famous. In interviews, too, they talk about their private life impartially. With this openness, the two soccer players pursue a purpose, explained Harder: “We want to show that our way of life is normal. If we show ourselves on social media, because it is our normal life that can follow people if they want.” Magdalena Eriksson adds: “The most important message is always: it is normal how we live. It is normal what we stand for.”
Together at FC Bayern since 2023
The 32-year-old striker Harder and the 31-year-old defender Eriksson do not find the public interest in her relationship. “It is rather rare to work with your partner and at the same time stand in public, and that a couple plays football together in a team is even less common,” said Harder of the “Sport Bild”. “It is clear that many people want to know how it works.”
Pernille Harder and Magdalena Eriksson met as teammates at the Swedish club Linköpings FC and became a couple in 2014. After that they played at times at different clubs, they have been running together for the FC Bayern on, with which they recently became German champions twice in a row. The two footballers announced their engagement last year.
