So Germany can even (almost) make it to the World Cup without winning
The DFB team can solve the World Cup ticket on its own despite the quality of the quality. How first place can succeed and how the playoffs could become the last rescue.
Germany has never been sporty in a qualification for a World Cup. The end in the elimination round for the final rounds 2026 in the USA, Mexico and Canada can still prevent Julian Nagelsmann with the national team even after the 0: 2 at the start in Slovakia. The national coach offers two ways.
This is how the DFB team becomes a group winner and solves the direct World Cup ticket
With five victories in the remaining five games, the DFB team still has first place in Group A regardless of all other results of the competitors. In the worst case, on November 17th in Leipzig there will be a kind of finale in the second leg against the Slovaks.
If the point equality is possible, the better goal difference counts. Many goals in each of the two duels with Northern Ireland and Luxembourg would help in any case. As a group winner, Germany will be part of the World Cup draw on December 5 in Washington in pot 1 or 2.
So Germany comes to the World Cup without a group victory
A double network is already installed. Regardless of cutting off in the quality group, Germany can definitely take part in the playoff games in March. The twelve group runners-up and the four best-qualified group winners from the Nations League will then play four more World Cup tickets in two co-rounds.
As one of four group winners in the A-League of the UEFA competition, Germany has already secured participation in the playoffs. That means: In theory, the DFB team could even lose all games in the qualifying group and still had the chance to be there at the tournament next summer. In the World Cup draw, Germany would only be a placeholder for a playoff winner-probably in the worst pot 4 with heavy World Cup group opponents as a mortgage.
