We have to find out that the players are the national team shit
With an embarrassing 0: 2, the DFB team started in the World Cup qualification. Against Slovakia there was practically missing everything – but especially in the right mentality.
Let’s be honest: Julian Nagelsmann is the poorest sow. Not that as a national coach, he would not be responsible for the disastrous appearance of the national team against Slovakia. But at least the little flattering certificate “he has always tried” can be exhibited. But you can do that through the players in the 0-2 defeat in the first Qualification game for the 2026 World Cup do not claim.
Much has been criticized afterwards in the game of the Germans. The line -up, the tactics, the change – all Nagelsmann’s construction sites. But what goes down is to take the players responsible. From Woltemade and Wirtz on the offensive to Rüdiger and Tah in defense, the game against the Slovaks was a collective non -performance.
The national team suffers from the “disease BVB”
Despite many injuries, this team actually has the potential to beat every opponent. But as headless as the eleven, with the exception of keeper Baumann, ran over the square, an evil thought creeps in: the players are simply shit.
Even if there was hardly any Dortmund on the pitch, the impression arises that the team suffers (again) on the “disease BVB”. Hurra football when it comes to the big opponents, collective stubbornness against the “little ones”.
We already know that from previous years. Nagelsmann had temporarily managed to spark something like euphoria in dusty DFB. Yes, some of them even had the feeling that the players were looking forward to playing for Germany. Now you have taken two steps back. Because even with the worst tactics in the world, such a strongly occupied national team never had from the world ranking 52. so that they can be demonstrated.
The evil “M-word” mentality has been on the index in Dortmund for years because the discussions about the willingness to commit the black and yellow again and again. The DFB team now has the same problem. If the players think that you can also play with an opponent like Slovakia with handbrake, the World Cup qualification will be a tremor.
Perhaps smaller names in the DFB team are needed
The professionals have a bone job, no question. Especially when you look at the past few months: Many players had a long season, some of them had to compete at the club World Cup, after only two weeks of the break, only to go back to the national team after two games. Mental burden on the attack – fair argument. Only, then one or the other has to question whether he also sees himself able to help the team from the head.
After the game, Julian Nagelsmann already played with the idea of whether he had to rely on somewhat less individual quality in the team to increase team performance. Perhaps that would be the right way to give the star players a break and give them a chance that really feel like wearing the eagle on their chest – even if it is against suspected smaller opponents.
