Jannik Sinner: “I love the food of my childhood”
Jannik Sinner led the tennis world rankings until last weekend. In an interview, he now revealed what is on his menu in addition to vitamins and proteins.
The Italian tennis professional Jannik Sinner also strengthens between his tennis matches with his favorite dishes from his childhood. “I love the food of my childhood,” said the 24-year-old in an interview with the “colorful”. The tennis star currently lives in Monaco. When he visits his parents in South Tyrol, he enjoys everything that reminds him of his childhood.
Since his parents always worked a lot, he mostly ate with his grandparents as a child. Grandma’s Wiener Schnitzel has always been one of his favorite food. Above all, he loves the dumplings from his father, “and bay as dessert!”, Sinner was quoted. His parents run a mountain restaurant in South Tyrol, his father Hanspeter cooks and his mother Siglinde serves the guests.
Jannik Sinner lost on Sunday in the US Open final against Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz (22) – and thus also the top position in the world rankings, which he took over in June 2024. The two fought this summer at the French Open an epic duel that lost the Sinner. For Alcaraz it was the second win of the US Open after 2022.
