Once again, demonstrators at the Vuelta tried to block a stage. How the drivers and police reacted to the propalestinian protests.
At the bike race Vuelta á España, Propalestinian protests came on the track again. Almost twenty kilometers before the destination of the 20th and penultimate stage of the tour, a group of demonstrators tried to block a street. However, the leadership group and the main field were able to drive around people on the way to the final climb to the Bola del Mundo. Police officers tried to dissolve the blockade. Several demonstrators had Palestinian flags in their hands.
Time trial for security reasons shortened
Protests Propalestinian demonstrators are a central theme of this year’s Spain tour. The time trial on Thursday was shortened from just a good 27 to just 12.2 kilometers.
The protests relate to Israel’s procedure in the Gaza Strip. The demonstrators also criticize the Team Israel Prime Minister Tech, which has now been not named “Israel” on his jerseys. The tour of the Spain ends on Sunday in the capital Madrid.
