On the last stage of the bike race Vuelta á España, propalestinian demonstrators have again blocked the driver’s field. Around 60 kilometers before the finish in Madrid, a group of people with a banner stood on the street. Some drivers tried to drive around the demonstrators. A professional was captured by a demonstrator. There were also large groups in other places on the route that protested.
The main field came to a stop. It was to be seen how the drivers were advised by the overall Jonas Vingegaard with the organizers. It initially remained unclear whether the race can be continued.
Time trial for security reasons shortened
Protests Propalestinian demonstrators are a central theme of this year’s Spain tour. They relate to Israel’s procedure in the Gaza Strip.
