Together with Pierre Gasly, he analyzed strategies to face the difficulties presented by the Baku circuit, where Long straight people do not favor the performance of the French car. In addition, the team evaluates the possibility of changing the collapint car engine, which has already accumulated four consecutive races without modifications.
A eventual replacement of the power unitcomposed of the heat generating unit (MGU-H), the Cinetic Energy Unit (MGU-K), the Turbocompressor (TC), the Electric Central (EC) and the Escape (EX), would imply a penalty of five positions in the output grid. However, this sanction would not have a significant impact on a circuit where the Alpine is already part of speed disadvantages. The measure could benefit the team in the next race, the Singapore Grand Prix, scheduled for October 5.
