Russian boxer Mark Petrovsky won on the evening of February 25 in the first professional fight that took place as part of the REN TV Fight Club tournament, Kenyan Collins Oyala.
In the first round, the athletes did not show a very high pace. Mark, at good speed, did not keep his distance and was a little pinched. Oyal constantly struck at the void.
Soon Petrovsky felt the distance and began to work as the second number, putting pressure on the enemy. The African boxer was confused, did not know where to hit him, and kept his hands in place. As a result, at the end of the second round, the Russian hit the Kenyan in the spleen.
After the coach Petrovsky asked to stop the fight because of the condition of his ward. Mark himself admitted that he would like to box all the rounds, but did not contradict the doctor’s recommendations.
Earlier, on February 25, Petrovsky and Oyal went through the weigh-in procedure before the fight. The Russian showed 97.5 kg on the scales, and his opponent – 100.5 kg. After the boxers held a traditional duel of views and shook hands.
The fight will be Petrovsky’s debut in the professional ring. His mentor is the famous Alexander Povetkin.
The main fight of the evening was the duel between Magomed Ismailov and Nigerian boxer Olanrewaju Durodola. In addition, a bare-knuckle fight was held by Russian fighter Maxim Topor Shcherbakov and his former coach Albert Karmazyan.
