Hertha BSC has to pay ex-managers Fredi Bobic Million sum
It is the aftermath of the “Big City Club”: Hertha BSC has to pay his ex-managing director Fredi Bobic almost three million euros in severance pay.
Ex-managing director Fredi Bobic has achieved success in the millions of second division soccer team Hertha BSC. The Berlin Regional Court rightly agreed with the 53-year-old in the document process with a reserved judgment. He obtained a preliminary enforcement title.
If Bobic executes the title, Hertha has to pay 3.35 million euros gross. In addition, there are interest that may bring the total to more than four million. The club must also bear the costs for the procedure. However, post -proceedings are possible.
“I am very happy that clear rights are spoken,” said Bobic after the verdict. “I wish that it is over now. The Hertha is responsible for whether it is over now.”
Dispute between Hertha BSC and Bobic could go on
Bobic enforced the title, the Berliners must deposit 110 percent of the sum he is entitled to as a security deposit in the court. After the next legal defeat, the Hertha can also decide to refrain from post-proceedings and pay the money directly to the 53-year-old. The post -proceedings would be conducted as a normal civil process in which all evidence is permitted.
Specifically, Bobic, who had to go to the Bundesliga club at the time in January 2023, insisted on salary for February to April 2023 and a contractually defined severance payment. In the procedure, he actually wanted to force the enforcement title as quickly as possible, with which he could ask the clammy Hertha to pay.
But the procedure was two and a half years. Again and again, among other things, bias from the Hertha side caused a delay.
In May of this year, the court had proposed an agreement on a comparison of 3.2 million euros at the request of both sides. According to Bobic, Hertha then rejected the offer.
The 53-year-old had sued in two procedures after his ordinary and extraordinary termination. In the second procedure, the district court of Bobic’s lawsuit had upheld the extraordinary termination. However, Hertha went to appeal. There is still no new appointment here. Bobic is now a football boss at the Legia Warsaw Polish Club.
