Miguel Ángel Russo died this Wednesday at the age of 69. FHe was a former player and technical director who left a big mark on the argentine soccer.
As footballer was a historic Students of La Platawhere he played throughout his entire career. He debuted as a professional in 1975, He played 420 games and scored 11 goals until his final retirement in 1989.
After his retirement, he began his extensive period as coach. The first club he managed was Lanus, between 1989 and 1994 (and 1999-2000), then Students (1994-96 and 2011), Central Rosary (1996-98, 2002-04, 2009, 2012-14 and 2022-24), Colon (1999), The Andes (2000-01), Velez (2004-06 and 2014-15), Mouth (2007, 2020-21 and 2025), Saint Lawrence (2008-09 and 2024-25) and racing (2010-2011).
In his career as a coach in Argentina, he won 7 national titles and 1 international (the 2007 Copa Libertadores).
