Ried coach Ibertsberger: “We have two finals”

The SV Guntamatic Ried awarded the first match ball with the 1:1 in Klagenfurt. Two knockout duels are now waiting for the Innviertlers within five days: Tomorrow it’s up to Hartberg in the ÖFB Cup semifinals for the fourth place in the final (6 p.m., ORF 1), on Sunday against Sturm Graz a place in the master group. Only a win guarantees entry into the top six.

“We have two finals. It can be jubilant or tearful. Both can happen,” said Ried coach Robert Ibertsberger. The big advantage: both games will take place in the Josko Arena. Ibertsberger: “With the spectators behind you, a lot is possible.”

15 home games unbeaten

Rieder have been unbeaten at home for 15 games, including two wins against Hartberg (3-2, 1-0). The preparation for the semi-final against the Styrians began immediately after the final whistle in Klagenfurt – the first regeneration measures were already taken.

Hartberg can fully concentrate on tomorrow’s game, the train into the championship group has finally left the 0:3 against Sturm Graz. “We have a huge chance,” said coach Kurt Russ.

The second team in the final in Klagenfurt on May 1st will only be determined in two weeks. The game between Wolfsberg and Salzburg has been postponed to March 16.
