National player David Raum publishes hate messages
Many celebrities receive insulting messages on social networks every day, including David Raum. The DFB player now goes on the offensive.
National soccer player David Raum has been violently attacked by a user on social media. The 27-year-old captain of RB Leipzig published hate messages in his Instagram story that, among other things, aimed at the fact that he is under contract with the Saxons.
In two posts, a user commented that Raum should “piss off” from the national team and insulted the professional soccer player as a “freak” and a “faggot.” Apparently the user has a big problem with space being included in the national team. “Redbull Leipzig players have no place in the national team,” is another comment.
It took up space in a sporty way: “Get well soon,” the left-back commented on a screen clip of the derogatory content.
David Raum: From amateur in Nuremberg to the national team
Raum, who is followed by over 220,000 users on Instagram, has been playing for the DFB team since 2021. He gained his first football experience as a child at the amateur club Tuspo Nürnberg and then went through the youth teams at SpVgg Greuther Fürth. TSG Hoffenheim signed him in 2021, and shortly afterwards Raum also made his way into the national team.
Most recently, he was in national coach Julian Nagelsmann’s starting line-up in the World Cup qualifiers against Luxembourg (4-0) and in Northern Ireland (1-0). He scored 1-0 against Luxembourg with a remarkable free kick, and the RB professional played in all six games in the Bundesliga. Raum has also been married to his long-time girlfriend Katharina for two years. The couple has no children.
