Everyone is looking forward to the Bundesliga summit between Bayern and Dortmund. RB Leipzig, VfB Stuttgart and Bayer Leverkusen do their homework beforehand.

The chasing trio has increased the pressure on Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund ahead of the top game in the Bundesliga. RB Leipzig won at home against newly promoted Hamburger SV 2-1 (1-0) and climbed to second place in the table, at least temporarily.

Cup winners VfB Stuttgart won 3-0 (1-0) at disappointing VfL Wolfsburg and are now third. Former champions Bayer Leverkusen also beat FSV Mainz 05 4:3 (3:1) and are two points behind Leipzig in fifth place. In the evening (6.30 p.m./Sky) the still unbeaten Bayern and Dortmund will face each other in a direct duel.

In the bottom of the table, 1. FC Heidenheim managed to win 2-2 (0-0) against Werder Bremen despite being behind twice. The points were also shared in a 1:1 (0:0) draw between 1. FC Köln and FC Augsburg.

Double pack for Baumgartner

After initial problems, Christoph Baumgartner (45th minute/50th) redeemed the Leipzig team with a brace against a bravely fighting Hamburg team, who were able to equalize in the meantime through Albert Sambi Lokonga (48th).
