Aside from the classic 301 or 501 games, Around the Clock is probably the most popular of all darts games. Even with advanced and professional dart players it is regularly on the training plan. The idea: All 20 numbers and the bull should be hit at least once with as few arrows as possible. It is irrelevant whether the darts are in the single, double or triple field. In the standard version, the game starts at 1 and ends with a roll of the Bull or BullsEye. You can also play the whole thing backwards, i.e. from the bull to the 1. The main goal of this training game is to focus on a new target on the board in a short period of time. In addition, “Around the clock” improves orientation on the dartboard. Each square can be important later in the game. Therefore, the focus of training should not be exclusively on the big numbers.

Cricket: Hit big numbers safely

The numbers from 15 to 20 and the bull are the salt in the dart soup. If you don’t hit these fields reliably, you won’t be able to improve your average in the long run. It is all the more important to play on exactly these fields again and again. And that’s exactly what the training game “Cricket” is for. In the classic variant, the aim is to hit every number from 15 to 20 and the bull three times. If you get a triple, you can check off this number directly. “Cricket” is a fast and exciting game, especially as a duel. If you don’t have an opponent, it’s best to play against a bot, which is available as a sparring partner on most darts apps. You can set it to any level depending on your own level of play and then compete with the AI.
