In Wolfsberg on Sunday (5 p.m.) it’s not just about a better starting position for the qualification group – the end of the regular season is also the dress rehearsal for the first leg of the Europa Conference League on Thursday at Slavia Prague.
“The strong performance against Salzburg showed once again what the team is made of. Now we want to finish the regular season with a good performance in Carinthia,” said coach Andreas Wieland. A win in Wolfsberg would only be worth two points this time with the final whistle due to the division of points after the regular season: the 28 points would then become 14. In the event of a defeat, LASK would go into the ten games of the qualifying group with twelve points, in a draw with 13.
Marko Raguz returns to the squad after his absence against Salzburg (0-0) due to illness. The top scorer should help to continue the series in Lavanttal: LASK has not lost any of the eight games in Wolfsberg so far.
