After a precise selection process, the 21 participants of the 2022/23 class have now been determined. Among them are some Upper Austrian coaches: Ried’s assistant coach Christian Heinle is in the pro license course, as is the Innviertel U18 academy coach Dennis Baraznowski, Salzburg’s youth coach Thomas Sageder and FC Juniors coach Manuel Takacs.
After Jürgen Säumel, a trainer employed by the ÖFB, made it into the top 20 applicants, the number of participants was increased by one place with the approval of UEFA.
Maria Wolf will be the second woman after team boss Irene Fuhrmann to take part in the highest female coach training in Austria.
The UEFA Pro diploma is the highest possible international coaching qualification and entitles you to work as a coach in Europe in the top division. The aim of this training is to give coaches with a UEFA A diploma and several years of experience in competitive sport the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and to prepare them for the tasks that international football places on professional coaches.
The training comprises 400 training units, the first face-to-face module is expected to take place in summer 2022.
