Second division football team FC Blau-Weiss Linz gave the first with Simon Seidl
New signing announced for the coming season. The brother of blue-white striker Matthias Seidl will move to Stahlstadtklub from June 2022 and will sign a contract until 2024, with the option for another year.
The 19-year-old offensive all-rounder comes from the Regionalliga West club SV Kuchl, where he has already scored five goals this season.
“Of course it is clear that Matthias drew our attention to his brother Simon. Simon brings a similar potential with him. He didn’t go through an academy either, but played in adult football very early on. Like his brother, he brings incredible ambition and a mentality that you have to look for at this age. They always want to get better and work incredibly hard every day. We need exactly such players in the future,” says BW sports director Tino Wawra.
Coach Gerald Scheiblehner: “We have already gained a lot of positive impressions from Simon, both in a training week last summer and at the SV Kuchl games. we
are convinced that he has the potential to make it into professional football with us. Simon is extremely hard-working, has a good feeling for situations in the last third and also fits perfectly into our team in terms of character. I am pleased that another very good player has chosen our path.”
