From 2016 to 2020 Miralem Pjanic played for the Italian record champions. Is there a comeback in black and white dress?
The Bosnian international Miralem Pjanic wants to return to Juventus Turin from FC Barcelona. This is what former Barca sporting director Ariedo Braida claims. He recently met Pjanic in Barcelona, where he told him he wanted to change, according to the 75-year-old, who now works for Serie B club Cremonese as managing director.
Braida said in the Tuttosport: “I was in Barcelona a few days ago for personal reasons. I met Pjanic by chance at Camp Nou and we talked. He wants to return to Juventus.” Braida added, referring to the new Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri: “He certainly knows Pjanic better than anyone.”
Juventus: Miralem Pjanic is under contract in Barcelona until 2024
Pjanic moved from the Bianconeri to Barca earlier this season as part of a $ 60 million deal in exchange for Arthur Melo. There he did not prevail and did not get beyond the role of the supplementary player under Ronald Koeman. He started from the bench 17 times in 30 games and was not involved in any goal.
The 31-year-old is still under contract with Blaugrana until 2024, but is considered a sales candidate given his high salary and Barcelona’s financial difficulties. Juventus’ Serie A rival AS Roma, also an ex-club Pjanics, is said to have recently dealt with a return campaign.
Meanwhile, the old lady is indeed looking for a reinforcement for the midfield center. However, according to information from Goal and SPOX European champion Manuel Locatelli the clear preferred candidate. Negotiations for a transfer with Locatelli’s club US Sassuolo are already underway.
