Born in La Plata, he started out in rugby at Club Atlético de San Isidro (CASI), one of the two greats along with SIC, where he made his debut in 1999.
Like other rugbiers, he emigrated looking for professionalism, and ended up at Biarritz Olympique (2004-2006), then Perpignan (2006-2008), Dax (2008-2010), Glasgow Warriors (2010-2012), and there he returned to Argentina, to retire at CASI, where he played just one season.
But it was in 2007 that he was remembered, even by non-regular rugby fans, with a performance that took Argentina to third place, with a resounding victory over France, which included a try from him, entering wing position.
